About this tool
Split PDF saves selected pages from a document or creates a separate PDF for every page. In Extract pages mode, enter individual numbers, closed ranges, or an open-ended range such as 8-. Page thumbnails can also be selected directly, and the range is validated immediately against the document's actual page count.
Every page operation takes place in your browser and the source is not uploaded. An extraction produces one file named with a -pages suffix while Every page mode packages numbered one-page PDFs in a ZIP archive. Original page dimensions, orientation, text, and vector content are copied rather than converted to screenshots.
How to use the Split PDF

- 2Choose Extract pages or Every page mode.
- 3Enter a page range or toggle visible thumbnails.
- 4Start the split after the range validates successfully.
- 5Download the extracted PDF or page-by-page ZIP archive.

Frequently asked questions
What page range formats can I enter?
Use values such as 2, 1-4, 1-3, 7, or 8-. The last form selects page 8 through the document's final page.
Can I select pages without typing a range?
Yes. Choose Extract pages and use each thumbnail's Select button to add or remove that page from the range field.
What does Every page mode download?
It creates one single-page PDF for each original page, gives each file a numbered name, and downloads them together in a ZIP.
Will links and selectable text remain in extracted pages?
The tool copies the underlying PDF pages, so their existing text and vector data are retained rather than replaced with page images.
Does splitting send my source document anywhere?
No. Range parsing, page copying, and ZIP creation are completed locally by the browser on your device.
